Job Description
Job title: Network Engineer Role Summary: Design, administer, and support voice, collaboration, data, and wireless network solutions within a global Cisco environment. Drive network strategy, performance, and security improvements, ensuring reliable connectivity for a global law firm. Expectations: - Deliver technical solutions that meet business and security objectives. - Maintain high availability and scalability of network infrastructure. - Collaborate with vendors, IT teams, and stakeholders to align network design with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: - Design, test, and deploy network components across multiple stages of deployment. - Produce and review technical documentation, knowledge base records, and KPI reports. - Analyze existing infrastructure to identify efficiency gains and ROI improvements. - Advise on network growth, security enhancements, and disaster recovery/BC plans. - Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, minimizing business impact. - Participate in capacity planning and performance monitoring of the Cisco network. - Lead assigned projects, adhere to work plans, and meet deadlines. - Support 24/7 on‑call rotation for global office coverage. Required Skills: - Routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP), QoS, TCP/IP, SDWAN, SD‑WAN, VxLAN. - Cisco platforms: Nexus IOS, CAT 9400/9000 series, IOS XR, ISE. - Cloud networking (Azure), Palo Alto (Prisma Access, firewalls). - Network automation (Linux, Ansible) – plus. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. - Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience. - Minimum 5 years of networking experience in a global Cisco/voice environment. - CCNA and/or CCNP certification required; CCIE or equivalent advanced certifications are a plus.
