**Job Title:** Platform Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and maintain a secure, scalable, and reliable Microsoft Azure‑based cloud platform that powers data ingestion, integration, and reporting for a high‑growth collaborative commerce business. Work closely with the Lead Platform Engineer in an agile environment, driving automation, performance, and best‑practice implementation across hybrid cloud infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect, implement, and manage solutions using Azure services (e.g., ADF, Synapse, networking, identity).
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Synapse.
- Develop, optimize, and support data workflows and queries in Snowflake and SQL.
- Write and maintain automation scripts (minimum two of: PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Integrate data outputs with Power BI for visualization and reporting.
- Design, configure, and operate CI/CD pipelines following DevOps standards.
- Ensure platform security, networking, and identity management compliance.
- Perform Windows and Linux system administration for hybrid cloud environments.
- Contribute to documentation, monitoring, and incident response activities.
**Required Skills:**
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure core services.
- Deep knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse for ETL.
- Proficiency in Snowflake and advanced SQL.
- Scripting expertise in at least two: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
- Familiarity with Power BI integration.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Solid grasp of cloud networking, identity, and security concepts.
- Hands‑on Windows and Linux administration.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Preferred Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ‑104, AZ‑204, AZ‑500, AZ‑305).
- Desirable: experience with IaC tools (Terraform or ARM templates), Databricks, and Microsoft 365 technologies.
