X-Net (Services) Ltd Formerly known as Kimcell Ltd, incorporating the X-Net, e-mango and Datacenta Hosting brands. X-Net has been delivering technical and business expertise for our clients for nearly 40 years. We started off in the telecoms sector when it was undergoing massive changes in deregulation and ownership. Now, we're collaborating with influential defence, national security, and law enforcement sectors. X-Net provides a broad range of services, delivered through our technical teams, subject matter experts, and senior consultants. Job Description
**Job Title:** Security Lead **Role Summary:** Senior security professional responsible for developing, implementing, and governing an integrated cyber, physical, personnel, and supply‑chain security strategy. Reports to the Director of Security and works closely with senior public‑sector stakeholders to ensure risk mitigation, resilience, and compliance across the organization’s ecosystem and facilities. **Expectations:** - Provide strategic security leadership and guidance at executive level. - Maintain active SC clearance (DV clearance required). - Demonstrate high integrity, sound judgement, and a results‑oriented approach. - Engage with senior stakeholders in public and private sectors to align security initiatives with business objectives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define and execute a comprehensive security strategy covering cyber, physical, personnel, and supply‑chain domains. - Lead risk assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability management programmes. - Establish monitoring, incident response, and recovery processes to ensure operational resilience. - Ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation (ISO 27001, NIST, UK GDPR, DPA 2018). - Advise senior leadership on security posture, emerging threats, and mitigation measures. - Coordinate security training and awareness for staff and contractors. - Liaise with external agencies, auditors, and regulators as required. **Required Skills:** - 5+ years experience in both cyber and physical security environments. - Proven ability to influence and communicate with senior stakeholders. - Strong knowledge of security standards, frameworks, and UK data protection legislation. - Excellent risk management, incident handling, and continuous improvement capabilities. - High level of personal integrity and decision‑making competence. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Recognised security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent. - Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience in security, information technology, or a related field. - Active SC (Security Check) clearance; Developed Vetting (DV) preferred.
