Job Description
**Job Title:** Software Developer III **Role Summary:** Design, develop, test, document, and maintain software for a medical navigation system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13485) and best‑practice engineering processes. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality code aligned with architectural standards. - Participate actively throughout the software development lifecycle. - Collaborate with QA, clinical specialists, and cross‑functional teams. - Mentor junior developers and contribute to risk‑management activities. - Manage work items and provide accurate effort estimates. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, verify, and unit‑test software based on documented requirements. - Write and maintain documentation per the quality management system. - Conduct peer code reviews, demonstrations, and contribute to build infrastructure. - Identify root causes of defects and implement preventive design measures. - Support system testing in partnership with software QA. - Clarify functional specifications with clinical subject‑matter experts. - Participate in risk management and design/code review sessions. - Track tasks in the application lifecycle management tool. - Provide effort estimates for project planning. - Mentor and guide less‑experienced team members. **Required Skills:** - 6+ years of software development, primarily C# and/or C++. - Proficiency with source control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion). - Strong command of multiple programming languages, frameworks, and development tools. - Solid grasp of software design principles, patterns, and best practices. - Ability to produce clear technical documentation and conduct effective code reviews. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - No additional certifications required; medical device development experience is a plus.
