Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Data Analyst **Role Summary:** Provide data‑driven insights to support corporate finance decisions, linking business performance to financial outcomes and cash flow analysis. Develop and maintain financial models, automated reports, and interactive dashboards that keep stakeholders informed and enable future forecasting. **Expectations:** - Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with Python and SQL for data analysis and automation. - Strong analytical mindset with a focus on uncovering the “why” behind data. - Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non‑technical audiences. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Business & Financial Analysis** – Analyze company‑wide financial results, identify key drivers, and present insights to management. 2. **Financial Modeling** – Contribute to the creation and upkeep of dynamic financial models. 3. **Data Collection & Validation** – Extract, clean, and merge data from Azure SQL databases, Excel, and other sources. 4. **Automation & Scripting** – Build and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to support monthly reporting. 5. **Dashboard Development** – Design and manage interactive dashboards in Power BI/Tableau/Looker for real‑time visibility. 6. **Process Improvement** – Map workflows, detect inefficiencies, and champion automation initiatives. 7. **Stakeholder Collaboration** – Work with Product, Marketing, Business Development, and Operations to understand reporting needs and deliver insights. **Required Skills:** - Python (data manipulation, scripting) - SQL (Azure SQL DB, warehouses, data lakes) - Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) - Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query) - Knowledge of ETL processes and cloud/on‑prem data pipelines - Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and financial data interpretation - Effective communication across technical and business audiences **Required Education & Certifications:** - Post‑secondary degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. ---
