Job Description

**Job title:** Assistant Store Manager – Lille Grand Place **Role Summary:** Serve as the second‑in‑command of a flagship nature‑education retail store, driving commercial performance, team leadership, and an engaging customer experience across diverse product categories, including books and outdoor goods. **Expectations:** - Own store profitability and meet sales targets. - Mentor and develop a staff of ~10 sales associates and guides. - Deliver an immersive, sustainable shopping experience aligned with brand values. - Actively participate in store initiatives such as workshops, promo events, and environmental projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead daily operations: inventory control, visual merchandising, stock replenishment, and display rotation. - Analyze sales data, set performance goals, and run promotional challenges. - Coach team members on product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer service. - Recruit, onboard, and evaluate new hires. - Foster a welcoming store environment, creating engaging in‑store activities and educational demonstrations. - Manage key budgets, reporting, and store KPI dashboards. - Collaborate with the Store Director and Customer Service Lead to align strategies. - Maintain high standards of store compliance and safety. **Required Skills:** - Proven retail management experience, preferably in a multi‑category or eco‑friendly environment. - Strong sales acumen with a history of meeting or exceeding profit targets. - Excellent communication, coaching, and team‑building skills. - Ability to innovate in merchandising and customer experience. - Proficiency with POS systems, inventory software, and sales analytics tools. - Passion for sustainability, biodiversity, and community engagement. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Bac+2 to Bac+5) in Business, Retail Management, or related field. - Prior experience managing a profitable retail unit. - Familiarity with B Corp principles or sustainability frameworks is a plus.
