Job title: 2026 Intern, Speech Research (Summer/Fall) Role Summary: Summer/fall internship supporting Samsung Research America's voice technology projects. Interns develop and research advanced speech solutions—including Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), acoustic and language modeling, wake‑word detection, and speech enhancement—using large‑language‑model techniques and model compression. Android application development and model personalization are key focus areas. Expectations: - Conduct research and deliver prototypes in ASR, acoustic/LID modeling, wake‑word detection, and LLM‑based speech applications. - Apply model compression techniques to deploy efficient on‑device solutions. - Develop and test Android-based voice applications and integrations. - Collaborate with cross‑functional research and engineering teams, documenting findings and presenting progress.
