**Job Title:** Business Intelligence Intern
**Role Summary:**
Support the Business Intelligence team in developing, maintaining, and automating internal reports and dashboards. Work with cross‑functional stakeholders (Advisory, Marketing, CRM, IT) to translate data needs into actionable insights using the Microsoft Power Platform and SQL. Gain hands‑on experience in data analysis, visualization, and AI‑enabled analytics within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
**Expectations:**
- Full‑time onsite internship (May 26 – July 31, 2026).
- Completion of a capstone project and presentation.
- Proactive learning of HB processes, tools, and data structures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adherence to security, privacy, and compliance standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Learn and document internal/external data structures.
- Design, build, and maintain self‑service dashboards and tools on Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Conduct ad‑hoc data analysis, interpret results, and present findings to business partners.
- Collaborate with peers and leaders on BI projects and process‑automation initiatives.
- Participate in a final capstone project demonstrating end‑to‑end BI solutions.
**Required Skills:**
- Intermediate‑advanced SQL proficiency.
- Experience with data analysis/visualization (Excel, Power BI, Power Query).
- Familiarity with Power Platform; exposure to Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar tools preferred.
- Basic knowledge of data mining, consolidation, and visualization concepts.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and detail‑orientation.
- Effective communication of technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Self‑motivation, creativity, and willingness to learn new technologies, including AI tools.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Currently a rising senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Economics) or equivalent experience.
- Strong academic performance.
- No specific certifications required; relevant coursework or projects in SQL, data analytics, or BI tools is advantageous.
