**Job Title** Information Services Software Development Internship – Summer 2026 **Role Summary** Short‑term software development internship focused on creating a functional solution within an Agile team. Interns collaborate with experienced developers to design, code, test, and deliver a complete software component during the summer term. **Expectations** - Current enrollment at an accredited four‑year college or university. - Major in Information Systems or a closely related field. - Availability to work fully onsite for the internship duration. - Positive attitude towards teamwork, learning, and the Agile development process. **Key Responsibilities** - Participate in the full software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment). - Write clean, maintainable code in assigned programming language(s). - Use version control (e.g., Git) to manage code changes. - Collaborate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings. - Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure high quality deliverables. - Document code, APIs, and design decisions in a concise manner. **Required Skills** - Basic proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript). - Understanding of object‑oriented design principles. - Familiarity with relational databases (SQL) and data modeling. - Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban). - Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. - Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications** - Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar). - No prior certifications required, but knowledge of Agile frameworks or software development practices is advantageous.
