**Job title:** Cloud and DevOps Engineer (5–8 years) **Role Summary:** Architect and maintain cloud‑native, secure, and scalable DevOps solutions on AWS. Lead the development of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and Kubernetes operations. Drive automation, observability, and security across the software lifecycle while mentoring junior engineers. **Expectations:** - Deliver reliable, compliant cloud infrastructure supporting high‑performance computing and data engineering. - Continuously improve CI/CD efficiency, deployment speed, and security posture. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with development, operations, and security teams. - Maintain high availability and performance of the Kubernetes and cloud environments. - Mentor, review code, and share best practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and manage AWS environments (VPC, IAM, EC2, Lambda, etc.) using IaC (Terraform, CDK). - Build, maintain, and upgrade Kubernetes clusters; deploy applications via YAML, Helm, and GitOps. - Own CI/CD pipelines in GitLab/GitHub, automate build, test, and release processes. - Configure and manage Ansible for configuration management and automation. - Implement monitoring and observability with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar. - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues in cloud‑native and containerized workloads. - Govern access, policies, and compliance (e.g., NIST 800‑171, CMMC) across AWS accounts. - Lead reviews, mentor team members, and propagate DevSecOps best practices. **Required Skills:** - 5–8 years professional experience; 5+ in cloud, system, or network administration. - Proven AWS DevOps architecture (Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes). - Expert Linux administration; strong Bash & Python scripting. - CI/CD expertise (GitLab/GitHub, Git workflows). - Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) proficiency. - Database administration (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Neo4j). - Observability & monitoring (CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, Prometheus). - Git version control, branching, and workflow mastery. - DevSecOps knowledge; secure cloud configuration. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical field. - Valid US citizenship and active security clearance (Secret/Top Secret/TS/SCI).
