**Job Title:** Senior Platform Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and operate a scalable, reliable engineering platform that supports rapid product delivery and enhances developer productivity. Drive platform strategy, establish best practices, and lead initiatives that improve system performance, operational efficiency, and security compliance.
**Expectations:**
- 7+ years of technical experience, 5+ as a Senior Platform Engineer or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a startup or high‑growth environment (preferred).
- Deep expertise in AWS, including Fargate and Kubernetes.
- Extensive hands‑on work with CI/CD pipelines, AWS CDK, deployment and database migration tools.
- Strong knowledge of observability (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Skilled in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, TypeScript).
- Familiarity with security and compliance (SoC, ISO, GDPR) is a plus.
- Excellent cross‑functional communication and collaboration.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure for engineering needs.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines with AWS CDK; integrate deployment and database migration tools.
- Establish release tracking, automate deployment workflows, and ensure smooth rollouts.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to guarantee high availability and performance.
- Build and maintain internal tooling to automate repetitive tasks and boost developer efficiency.
- Enforce security best practices and compliance across infrastructure, deployments, and internal systems.
**Required Skills:**
- AWS (Fargate, EKS/Kubernetes, CDK, SQS, Redis, PostgreSQL)
- CI/CD (AWS CDK, GitHub Actions, deployment & migration tools)
- Observability (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Scripting: Python, Bash, TypeScript
- Container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Security & compliance (SoC, ISO, GDPR)
- Strong problem‑solving, collaboration, and communication abilities
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar certifications are preferred.
