**Job Title:** Cyber Security Specialist **Role Summary** Implement and enforce security measures across systems, networks, and applications to protect organizational infrastructure and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate with leadership to maintain a proactive security posture. **Expectations** - Deliver hands-on security operations, including system patching, firewall configurations, and cloud security practices. - Support compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 frameworks. - Balance technical execution with governance, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** - Execute Windows security updates, endpoint protection, and AWS security hardening. - Deploy monitoring systems to detect and respond to cyber threats. - Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation. - Maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures for compliance (e.g., SOC 2 Type II). - Strengthen AWS security via IAM, encryption, backups, and CI/CD pipeline integration. - Manage incident response efforts and coordinate post-incident documentation. - Support disaster recovery planning and client IT collaboration for secure deployments. **Required Skills** - Cybersecurity/IT security experience with hands-on system administration. - Proficiency in firewall configurations, patch management, and security monitoring tools. - Strong written communication for policy documentation and stakeholder reporting. - Understanding of SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST compliance standards. - Cloud security expertise in AWS (IAM, encryption, monitoring). - Problem-solving skills and ownership mindset for task completion. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field. - Certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, AWS Security Specialty) preferred but not mandatory.
