Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Systems Analyst Intern **Role Summary:** Support TESC’s digital transformation by assisting in the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise software across core business functions (estimating, procurement, project management, health & safety, project controls, finance). Provide analysis, reporting, and user support to drive data‑driven decision‑making and process improvement. **Expectations:** - Identify as Indigenous (First Nation, Métis, or Inuit) and meet NOHFC program eligibility. - Reside in the assigned Northern Ontario community and be legally entitled to work in Canada. - Contribute to project deliverables within tight deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail. - Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and support change‑management initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Participate in deployment and upkeep of new digital platforms. - Document and map business processes; gather and analyze software workflow requirements. - Conduct data migration, entry, and system testing; remediate issues. - Apply data‑modeling techniques to identify operational efficiencies. - Design and generate business intelligence reports (Excel, Power BI). - Evaluate emerging technologies; advise management on data analysis and reporting needs. - Monitor application performance, detect bottlenecks, and collaborate with developers on solutions. - Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to end‑users throughout change‑management cycles. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; root‑cause identification. - Proficiency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, complex formulas) and Power BI. - Experience with data modeling, process workflow design, and system testing. - Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to articulate concepts to diverse audiences. - Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and influence team members toward shared goals. - Knowledge of software development lifecycle, project management processes, and financial reporting preferred. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - Additional education or experience in accounting/finance is an asset. - No specific certifications required; familiarity with Microsoft automation tools is advantageous.
