**Job title:** Registered Nurse – Dialysis Centre (Six Nations Satellite Hemodialysis Unit) **Role Summary:** Deliver comprehensive, patient‑centered dialysis care for adults and older adults, including assessment, treatment, monitoring, and palliative support. Lead clinical decisions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain high standards of safety and quality in a rotating shift environment. **Expactations:** 2+ years of Registered Nurse experience in a clinical setting; current Ontario RN registration; BCLS/HCP certification; experience with complex, high‑acuity patients, especially seniors; demonstrated ability to work independently in a rotating shift schedule (7.5–10 hr shifts, days/evenings). **Key Responsibilities:** • Assess clients’ medical histories, vital signs, and dialytic needs. • Administer dialysis therapy, medications, and related treatments. • Monitor and manage complications, crisis situations, and emergency responses. • Document care in electronic patient information systems and incident reporting tools. • Educate clients and families on dialysis care, lifestyle modifications, and self‑management. • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, dietitians, and other team members to devise and adjust care plans. • Uphold infection control, safety protocols, and environmental standards. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education. **Required Skills:** • Clinical nursing competence in dialysis and high‑acuity care. • BCLS/HCP knowledge and emergency response skills. • Sophisticated communication (verbal and written) with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. • Crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and patient advocacy. • Leadership, critical thinking, and team‑building. • Computer literacy – MS Word, data entry, patient‑information systems, incident reporting. **Required Education & Certifications:** • Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. • Diploma or degree in Nursing (BSc⁺). • BCLS or HCP certification. • Membership in a professional nursing association (e.g., RNAO, CNA) preferred.
