Job Description
**Job Title:** Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Future Opportunities (2026) **Role Summary:** Provide aircraft maintenance and airworthiness support for a fleet of air ambulance aircraft, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards to enable critical medical transport operations. **Expactations:** - Full‑time, permanent role with rotating day shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and on‑call duties in a 24/7 environment. - Proactive problem solving, teamwork, rapid decision‑making, and effective communication are essential. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, engines, airframe, and systems. - Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacements in accordance with Transport Canada and manufacturer specifications. - Record maintenance actions, generate work orders, and report findings using electronic maintenance management systems. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational controls, and quality standards. - Collaborate with flight operations, medical staff, and ground support teams to address aircraft readiness and operational constraints. - Maintain accurate documentation, permits, and restricted area access credentials. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization. **Required Skills:** - Valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 license. - Experience with AW139 or PC12 aircraft preferred. - Valid driver’s licence and valid Canadian passport or work authorization in Canada; ability to travel to the U.S. for mission work. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving abilities. - Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, email). - Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and perform under pressure. - Knowledge of Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program requirements; ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field (required). - Transport Canada M1 (aircraft maintenance regulatory license). - Transport Canada M2 (engine maintenance regulatory license). - Additional certifications such as ATPL, MII, or equivalent may be an asset.
