Job title: Account Manager (Business Development / Talent Marketplace)
Role Summary
Manage and grow the revenue‑generating business unit for a B2B talent marketplace and Vendor Management System. Act as the primary point of contact for corporate clients and external talent partners, delivering end‑to‑end service from prospecting and value proposition to onboarding, project delivery and performance reporting. Drive strategic account growth, partnership development, and operational excellence within a fast‑evolving digital business environment.
Expectations
* Achieve predefined revenue, margin, and project volume targets for the assigned territory.
* Independently build and manage a pipeline of new and existing client accounts, and a network of vetted freelancers and consulting firms.
* Deliver on client needs by ensuring successful matching, contractual negotiations, and timely project execution.
* Maintain a high level of client satisfaction and repeat business.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with finance, legal, and operations to ensure flawless delivery and compliance.
* Leverage digital tools and AI to streamline sales and account management processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Client Acquisition & Relationship Management**
* Prospect and qualify new accounts, and maintain existing client relationships.
* Identify tender opportunities, craft proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals.
* Conduct regular account reviews to strengthen loyalty and position the platform as a strategic partner.
2. **Freelancer & Partner Network Development**
* Grow a community of qualified experts and consulting firms.
* Match client requirements with appropriate talent on the marketplace.
* Negotiate commercial terms and formalize engagement agreements.
3. **Project Performance & Operations Oversight**
* Monitor active projects to ensure successful delivery, adherence to scope, and budget compliance.
* Track key performance indicators: revenue, margin, project volume, closing rate.
* Coordinate with internal teams (finance, legal, ops) to secure contract finalization, invoicing, and regulatory compliance.
4. **Strategic Growth & Market Insight**
* Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine positioning and product offerings.
* Provide insights on pricing, client segments, and talent demand to senior leadership.
Required Skills
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
* End‑to‑end sales cycle experience (prospecting → proposal → closing).
* Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional language skills a plus.
* Comfortable engaging C‑level, procurement, and IT stakeholders.
* Proficiency with CRM platforms, sales automation tools, and AI assistants (e.g., ChatGPT).
* Proven ability to handle complex sales cycles and negotiate contracts.
* Entrepreneurial mindset, self‑motivation, and accountability for results.
Required Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced qualification (Master’s, MBA, or dual degree) preferred.
* Minimum of 0–2 years of experience in business development, consulting, or a startup/entrepreneurial environment.
* No mandatory certifications required, though familiarity with SaaS, vendor management, or procurement processes is advantageous.
