Job Title: Cloud-native Developer
Role Summary:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure SaaS solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Lead containerized service build, orchestration, and CI/CD pipeline creation while ensuring best practices in performance and security.
Expectations:
- Minimum 5 years in software development or DevOps focused on cloud-native architectures.
- Proven record of delivering production-ready applications.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Architect and deploy cloud‑native services using AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, Aurora, CloudWatch) or equivalent Azure/GCP services.
2. Build, containerize, and orchestrate microservices with Docker, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, or Docker Swarm.
3. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
4. Manage relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (ElasticSearch) databases for high availability and scalability.
5. Write clean, maintainable Java code, adhering to coding standards and security guidelines.
6. Implement cloud security measures, identity & access management, and monitoring.
7. Participate in Agile Scrum/Kanban ceremonies, respond swiftly to changing requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement.
8. Share knowledge, mentor peers, and stay current with emerging cloud technologies.
Required Skills:
- Java (JDK 11/17) – deep proficiency in JVM ecosystem.
- Cloud platforms: hands‑on AWS experience; Azure or GCP acceptable.
- Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker Swarm.
- CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch.
- Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation, Terraform, or ARM templates.
- Cloud Security fundamentals and IAM best practices.
- Agile coaching, Scrum or Kanban familiarity.
- Communication skills: Dutch and English; French advantageous.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer preferred (not mandatory).
