Job Description
**Job Title:** Payroll Implementation Manager **Role Summary:** Lead the configuration, testing, and deployment of an integrated payroll module within a new HRIS & Time & Attendance system for a manufacturing environment. Ensure compliance, manage user acceptance testing, develop sustainable processes, and coach the payroll team to achieve a seamless transition and lasting operational framework. **Expectations:** - Deliver payroll implementation on schedule and within scope. - Maintain high‑quality compliance and accuracy throughout configuration and go‑live. - Influence and support stakeholders resistant to change. - Build a self‑service culture and reduce reliance on single points of failure. **Key Responsibilities:** - Configure payroll settings, complex pay rules, allowances, and legacy arrangements. - Plan, execute, and oversee UAT and parallel payroll runs; identify and resolve issues promptly. - Create and maintain standard operating procedures and a payroll knowledge base. - Coach and upskill existing payroll staff to ensure confidence post‑implementation. - Review and improve legacy payroll practices for compliance and efficiency. - Promote self‑service adoption among managers and support cultural change. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience delivering payroll implementation projects, preferably in complex or unionised settings. - Strong expertise in weekly, high‑volume, variable, shift‑based payroll processing. - Hands‑on knowledge of integrated HRIS/T&A/payroll platforms (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, SAP). - In‑depth understanding of pay, pensions, and payroll compliance regulations. - Excellent process design, documentation, and testing capabilities. - Resilient, pragmatic, and able to influence stakeholders in change‑resistant environments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Professional payroll certification (e.g., CPP, ASP, or equivalent) preferred. - Relevant training in HRIS/Payroll systems implementation is advantageous.
