**Job Title** Financial Services Branch Strategy Consultant **Role Summary** Provide strategic consulting to a Canadian bank on optimizing its branch network. Focus on emerging operating models such as tellerless branches, central transaction hubs, and shared resource frameworks to enhance efficiency and align operations with the bank’s market strategy. **Expectations** - Early‑stage exploratory engagement with a 3–6 month contract, 2–3 days per week. - Deliver insights, innovative model proposals, and actionable recommendations. - Act as a thought partner during proposal development; potential to support execution if the project advances. **Key Responsibilities** - Evaluate current branch network operations and identify efficiency gaps. - Advise on innovative branch models (tellerless, centralized hubs, shared resources). - Align branch operations with overarching market and business strategy. - Recommend process optimizations and optimal resource allocation. - Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine the proposal. - Provide support for execution phases if the project progresses. **Required Skills** - 3+ years of management consulting experience (MBB or financial‑services specialist). - Deep knowledge of retail banking branch operations and diverse branch models. - Demonstrated ability to drive cross‑market efficiency improvements. - Proven track record of creative solutions (e.g., tellerless models, transaction hubs). - Comfortable in both advisory and execution roles at a mid‑to‑senior consultant level. - Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Experience working with major North American retail banks; Canadian market familiarity preferred. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or a related field. - Master’s degree (MBA, MCom, MEng, etc.) or equivalent advanced qualification preferred. - Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
