Job Description
Job Title: Systems Administrator Role Summary: Responsible for securing, maintaining, and optimizing the firm’s Azure and on‑premise IT infrastructure. Manages Active Directory, virtual machines, networking, backups, disaster recovery, and automation to ensure high availability and efficient operations. Expectations: Deliver reliable system uptime, implement security best practices, and collaborate with DevOps to automate workflows. Provide timely technical support and coordinate with vendors and MSPs for issue resolution and upgrades. Key Responsibilities: - Administer Azure AD, Group Policy, IAM, and Azure virtual machine environments. - Manage Windows and Linux servers: patching, performance tuning, and compliance. - Design, test, and maintain backup solutions and disaster recovery plans. - Develop PowerShell/automation scripts and utilize Power Automate/Logic Apps for process efficiency. - Troubleshoot system issues, provide end‑user support, and liaise with MSPs and vendors. - Align infrastructure needs with DevOps initiatives and ensure adherence to security policies. Required Skills: - 3+ years in systems administration, cloud infrastructure, or IT operations. - Strong knowledge of Azure (AD, VMs, Networking, IAM, Security). - Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux administration. - Experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery, and business continuity. - IT security best practices and compliance awareness. - Troubleshooting, technical support, and communication skills. - Programming/coding for automation (PowerShell, scripting). Required Education & Certifications: - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104). - Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC‑300). - Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ‑800/AZ‑801).
