Job title: Technical Onboarding Manager
Role Summary: Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of a technical onboarding program for Sales Engineers and other technical roles, ensuring new hires rapidly acquire the tools, knowledge, and relationships needed to become productive contributors.
Expectations: • Deliver a structured 90‑day onboarding roadmap that aligns with company technical standards. • Achieve measurable onboarding success metrics (time‑to‑productivity, satisfaction scores, completion rates). • Act as the primary liaison for new technical hires, providing coaching, support, and continuous feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and iterate technical onboarding curricula and checklists for Sales Engineers and related technical personas.
2. Manage onboarding timelines, milestone tracking, and metrics; report on process efficiency and improvement opportunities.
3. Facilitate technical environment setup: tool installation, software licensing, system access, and account provisioning.
4. Deliver training sessions and workshops on company platforms, tools, and technical workflows; create and maintain documentation, tutorials, and quick‑start guides.
5. Serve as the primary point of contact during the first 90 days; coordinate introductions, mentorship pairings, and integration activities.
6. Document and standardize onboarding processes; collaborate with Technical Enablement and HR to customize role‑specific onboarding paths.
7. Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions; keep up to date with industry best practices in technical onboarding.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in employee onboarding, training, or people operations.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional content creation.
- Understanding of security and compliance in technical environments.
- Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with development and productivity tools, SaaS, IT infrastructure, and system administration.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship‑building, and coaching abilities.
- Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking, and multi‑priority management.
- Empathy, patience, and adaptability in a fast‑growth tech setting.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science, or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or similar certification required.
