Job Description
Job Title: Laboratory Technician – Molecular Biology/Cell Biology Role Summary: Support R&D and application projects in cosmetics by performing cell culture, molecular biology, and analytical assays; maintain equipment, manage inventories, and generate detailed reports. Expectations: Deliver accurate, timely data; uphold sterile and safety standards; continuously refine protocols; communicate findings clearly in English. Key Responsibilities: - Execute laboratory trials for method development, validation, and formulation efficacy studies. - Perform cell culture (sterile hood), protein extraction, Western/Dot Blot, RNA extraction, and RT‑qPCR. - Conduct histology/immunohistochemistry assays. - Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and facilities. - Manage material receipt, registration, and inventory. - Draft, review, and update experimental protocols and technical reports. - Analyze data using Excel and present results. Required Skills: - Hands‑on cell biology techniques (sterile hood, basic culture). - Molecular biology proficiency: protein extraction, Western/Dot Blot, RNA extraction, RT‑qPCR. - Knowledge of histology/immunohistochemistry. - Ability to write protocols, analyze results, and use Excel. - Proficient in written and spoken English. - Minimum 1 year professional experience (junior acceptable); experience in 3D skin models or related fields an advantage. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related field. - Relevant laboratory certifications or training in aseptic technique and molecular methods preferred.
