Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Data Scientist – Generative AI **Role Summary:** Lead the design, development, and deployment of Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve business challenges, enhance customer experience, and optimize internal processes across the organization. **Expectations:** - Deliver end‑to‑end AI models (summarization, classification, extraction, conversational) on bank data. - Collaborate with risk, compliance, and model validation teams to ensure responsible, auditable AI practices. - Communicate findings and technical documentation clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Apply LLMs and Generative AI tools to real‑world problems. - Source, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data for model training and evaluation. - Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical validation of model outputs. - Stay current on Generative AI breakthroughs and evaluate banking use cases. - Create and maintain model documentation, usage guides, and evaluation reports. - Engage with model validation teams and regulatory bodies regarding AI model governance. **Required Skills:** - 4+ years in data science, analytics, or applied machine learning. - Strong proficiency in Python; experience in notebook environments. - Deep knowledge of NLP libraries (spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face) and text processing techniques. - Ability to handle large, heterogeneous datasets and perform feature engineering. - Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder engagement skills. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience with Generative AI tools and LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini). - Prompt engineering and LLM output evaluation. - Designing orchestration plans or agentic workflows. - Collaboration with model validation/regulatory teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s degree (or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. - Demonstrated experience interacting with model validation teams and regulators.
