Job Description
**Job Title:** Director of People **Role Summary:** Senior leader responsible for developing and executing a modern, inclusive People Services & Products strategy to support organizational transformation, with focus on employee experience, risk management, and operational excellence. **Expactations:** - Influence executive decision‑making and board discussions on people matters. - Drive change initiatives and embed a positive culture across the organization. - Deliver measurable improvements in people processes, systems, and analytics. - Build and sustain high‑performance, values‑aligned teams. - Ensure compliance with evolving employment legislation and union relations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define and implement People Services & Products strategy aligned with corporate transformation goals. - Partner with senior leaders to embed an inclusive employee experience and support change management. - Lead the transition from a business‑partner model to an integrated People Services & Products function. - Oversee end‑to‑end people processes: recruitment, onboarding, reward, and employee relations. - Manage operational improvements across systems, workflows, and data analytics. - Prepare and mitigate risks related to employment law changes and union engagement. - Use people analytics to inform strategy, measure impact, and drive decision‑making. - Build, coach, and develop a high‑performance, values‑driven people team. **Required Skills:** - Proven senior HR/People leadership with board/executive influence. - Experience across multiple functions: talent acquisition, rewards, employee relations, operations. - Deep understanding of employment law, risk management, and union engagement. - Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to use people data to shape strategy. - Demonstrated success in leading organizational change and transformation. - Inclusive, collaborative leadership style that inspires high‑performance teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. - Advanced HR/People certification (e.g., SHRM‑SP, HRCI SPHR, CIPD Senior Professional) preferred.
