**Job title:** Software Engineer Intern
**Role Summary:**
A 3‑month summer internship focused on designing, developing, and testing cloud‑native SaaS web applications and microservices for a finance technology firm. The intern will join an agile scrum team, collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, and contribute to end‑to‑end delivery within a CI/CD environment.
**Expectations:**
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (Computer Science, Engineering, or related field) at Junior or Senior level, or equivalent practical experience.
- Availability June 1 – August 7, 2026.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting and participate in global team meetings across multiple time zones.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop new features, optimize existing code, and build robust cloud‑native services using .NET, React, TypeScript, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Azure.
- Write automated unit, integration, and front‑end tests with xUnit, Moq, NSubstitute, and Playwright.
- Implement continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines using Docker, YAML, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Azure services.
- Engage in agile ceremonies (scrum, backlog grooming, sprint reviews) and collaborate with product, design, quantitative, and business teams.
- Utilize AI coding assistants to enhance productivity and code quality.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in object‑oriented languages: C#, C++, or Java.
- Experience with JavaScript/React and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL).
- Understanding of unit testing, test‑driven development, mocking frameworks, and continuous delivery principles.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservice architecture, and service‑oriented design.
- Ability to refactor, maintain, and improve object‑oriented code in an agile environment.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (Azure).
- Demonstrated contributions to open‑source projects or local developer community.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills (numerical optimization, data mining, simulation, or model calibration).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program (Junior or Senior level) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent field.
- No mandatory certifications required; relevant coursework or project experience counts as evidence.
