**Job title**
Azure Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and maintain Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments, leveraging Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools and automation. Provide technical leadership to ensure high performance, security, compliance, and availability of cloud services, while guiding team members and handling operational incidents.
**Expectations**
- 5+ years of Azure infrastructure experience with a strong focus on security.
- Proven ability to architect scalable, resilient, and compliant cloud solutions.
- Hands‑on experience with IaC (Terraform, Pulumi, ARM/Blueprints), CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), and Azure infrastructure services (App Gateway, Load Balancer, NSGs, Azure Backup, Site Recovery, Azure Files, App Services, Virtual Desktop Infra, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting skills, documentation practice, and post‑incident reviews.
- Ability to mentor peers, manage multiple concurrent projects, and participate in on‑call rotation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead Azure cloud projects: design, implement, and deploy infrastructure solutions.
- Develop IaC scripts and pipelines (Terraform, Pulumi, ARM/Blueprints).
- Configure, manage, and optimize Azure resources (storage, networking, compute, backup, DR, security).
- Ensure compliance with security policies, perform audits, and respond to security alerts.
- Maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures; validate recovery tests.
- Document architecture, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide technical escalation support to development, operations, and admin teams.
- Mentor and share knowledge with team members.
- Participate in on‑call rotation and be available after hours for critical incidents.
**Required Skills**
- Azure platform (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) design and deployment.
- Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Terraform, Pulumi, ARM/Blueprints.
- CI/CD: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
- Networking: NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Load Balancers.
- Storage & Backup: Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Files, Azure Backup, Site Recovery.
- Identity & Security: Active Directory, Azure Policy, RBAC, Key Vault.
- Monitoring & troubleshooting: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Alerts.
- Strong scripting in PowerShell or Bash.
- Excellent communication and documentation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Azure certifications preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
