Job Title: Business Development Manager Role Summary: Spearhead revenue growth by sourcing, qualifying, and converting high-value buyers and sellers into long‑term accounts for a B2B distribution platform. Lead outbound prospecting, nurture relationships, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver seamless onboarding and sustained partnership expansion. Expectations: - Deliver quarterly pipeline and pipeline conversion targets. - Maintain 100% accuracy in lead tracking and CRM data. - Develop a robust rhythm of client outreach and follow‑up. - Drive revenue growth through account expansion and upsell. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and develop new leads through targeted market research and outreach. - Qualify prospects via calls, meetings, and industry events. - Convert buyers and sellers into active customers, grow accounts into recurring partnerships. - Facilitate smooth hand‑offs to Account Managers to sustain and expand relationships. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align go‑to‑market activities and maintain consistent stakeholder communication. - Gather market feedback to refine BD strategies and platform performance. - Maintain and optimize tracking systems for lead generation, pipeline growth, and account management. Required Skills: - 5+ years in business development or outside sales, preferably in brand wholesale or retail buying. - Proven success in fast‑paced startup environments. - Strong presentation (PowerPoint, Canva, Figma) and financial modeling (Excel) skills. - Proficiency in CRM (HubSpot or equivalent) and data‑driven pipeline management. - Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation abilities. - Self‑motivated, client‑focused, collaborative, and comfortable with 60–75% travel. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field. - Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and CRM software (e.g., HubSpot).
