Job Description
**Job Title** Software Engineer **Role Summary** Enterprise Application Consultant focused on implementing, configuring, and supporting Meridian Enterprise Document Management System (DMS) for clients in Ireland, the UK, and Scandinavia. Works on end‑to‑end projects from requirements gathering through design, deployment, training, and ongoing support, collaborating closely with sales and technical teams. **Expactations** - Deliver high‑quality DMS solutions on time and within scope. - Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively in cross‑functional teams. - Advocate best practices and continuously improve client processes. - Provide clear, actionable documentation and training materials. - Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for value‑added work. **Key Responsibilities** - Conduct requirements workshops to assess client DMS needs and current maturity. - Analyse business processes, recommend solutions, and produce functional specifications. - Design and configure DMS solutions, including workflows, interfaces, metadata, and access controls. - Plan and execute installation, migration, and configuration tasks. - Create and deliver user training and workshops. - Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and guidance on best practices. - Document technical designs, configuration settings, and user manuals. - Collaborate with sales to identify new business opportunities and articulate financial benefits. **Required Skills** - 5+ years of enterprise software implementation experience. - Proficiency in JavaScript, VBScript, VB.NET, and SQL. - Strong Windows Server and networking knowledge. - Experience conducting requirements gathering and producing technical documentation. - Ability to design and configure document workflows, metadata, and access profiles. - Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and team‑collaboration abilities. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and MS SQL Server database creation. - Experience supporting end users of enterprise applications. **Desired Skills** - Knowledge of regulated industries such as engineering, construction, nuclear, or finance. - Commercial awareness of consultancy financial implications and opportunity identification. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in STEM or IT disciplines. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure/AWS, SQL Server) are advantageous but not mandatory.
