Job Description
Job title: Python Engineer Role Summary: In charge of maintaining and enhancing the company's internal data systems, developing user interfaces and APIs to improve data accessibility, and ensuring robust data flow, integrity, automation, and security across the organization. Expectations: Deliver reliable, scalable data infrastructure; automate and optimize ETL pipelines; integrate data solutions with cross‑functional teams; uphold GDPR and industry compliance; drive continuous improvement of data platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and improve internal data systems and pipelines. - Design, develop, and deploy user interfaces and APIs (Flask, Django). - Manage data integrity, performance tuning, and ETL pipeline optimization. - Collaborate with technical, asset management, and other teams to enhance platform functionality. - Identify and implement automation and integration opportunities to increase efficiency. - Ensure data security and compliance with GDPR and relevant regulations. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Python, with experience in Flask or Django frameworks. - Strong SQL skills; experience with PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy ORM. - Knowledge of ETL concepts, pipeline design, and API development. - Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, Athena) is advantageous. - Experience or exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi) is a plus. - Understanding of data security principles and GDPR compliance. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Professional certifications in Python, cloud platforms, or data engineering are welcomed.
