**Job Title**
Automation Engineer (F/M)
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and maintain automated control systems for pharmaceutical production facilities. Directly responsible for programming, testing, commissioning, and supporting DeltaV and Batch solutions, while ensuring system safety, quality, and cybersecurity compliance. Engage in continuous improvement, training, and documentation to optimize plant operations.
**Expectations**
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Emerson DeltaV and Batch programming.
- Proven track record in high‑regulation environments such as pharma, bioprocessing, food & beverage, cosmetics, or chemistry.
- Ability to operate safely in hazardous chemical and high‑voltage (HV) industrial settings; hold relevant safety & electrical qualifications.
- Effective communicator for training, reporting, and change‑control processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct studies and deliver new or revamped pharmaceutical processes.
- Prepare cost estimates, perform risk analyses (FMEA), and develop qualification plans.
- Draft functional analyses, technical specifications, and test procedures.
- Program and validate production recipes on DeltaV; program automation systems, perform commissioning, and administer industrial IT installations.
- Execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot automation faults, and approve corrective actions (CAPA).
- Write, update, and enforce operating procedures.
- Deliver end‑user training for automated control systems.
- Manage cybersecurity activities for EIA systems and produce monthly activity reports.
- Provide on‑call duty for EIA installations as required.
**Required Skills**
- Mastery of Emerson DeltaV + Batch engineering.
- Familiarity with Siemens WinCC, TIA Portal, Schneider PLCs, and related automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of FMEA, risk assessment, and equipment qualification.
- Proficient in procedural documentation and change‑control management.
- Capability to conduct and deliver technical training.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering, Chemical/Pharmaceutical Engineering, or related field.
- Industrial safety qualifications: Chemical Hazard Group 2 (N₂) and electrical high‑voltage (HV) & medium‑voltage (BR) certifications.
- Certified Emerson DeltaV, Batch, and/or Siemens automation accreditation highly desirable.
