Job Description
**Job Title** Business Analyst – Insurance / Reinsurance **Role Summary** Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams within the insurance/reinsurance sector. Capture, translate, and validate business requirements into functional specifications for solution development and deployment. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate requirement documentation within tight 3‑month contract timeframe. - Demonstrate proven experience in insurance or reinsurance operations and data analysis. - Communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams (business, IT, QA). - Work under IR35 regulations; maintain compliance with contract terms. **Key Responsibilities** - Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders. - Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement sessions to identify process gaps. - Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Develop wireframes, mock‑ups, and process flow diagrams. - Collaborate with developers, solution architects, and QA to ensure solution alignment with business needs. - Support creation of business cases, impact assessments, and solution proposals. - Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT); prepare test scenarios and validate outputs. - Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities. **Required Skills** - In‑depth knowledge of insurance/reinsurance lifecycle: policy, exposure, claims, underwriting, bordereaux, treaties. - Strong requirement gathering, stakeholder management, and documentation skills. - Experience creating wireframes, mock‑ups, and functional specifications. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence. - Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. - High attention to detail. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field. - Relevant certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI‑BA, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
