**Job Title** Management Development Program – Mainline (Management Trainee) **Role Summary** Full‑time, graduate‑level rotational program designed to develop future managers. Over four phases, the trainee gains hands‑on experience in warehouse operations, customer service, procurement, sales, and leadership. Completion prepares the individual to assume a managerial position at a Canadian profit‑center location. **Expectations** - Relocate within Canada as required (relocation assistance provided). - Successfully complete all four training phases within the program timeline. - Demonstrate strong work ethic, integrity, and results‑oriented mindset. - Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams. - Meet performance metrics for each functional area and contribute to continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities** *Phase 1 – Warehouse & Customer Service* - Handle shipping/receiving, inventory control, order processing, and pricing. - Provide counter sales support and resolve customer inquiries. - Assist with credit management and review basic financial statements. *Phase 2 – Customer Relationships & Procurement* - Support customers on service issues; manage large‑scale project quotes. - Read and interpret blueprint drawings to determine material requirements. - Develop vendor relationships and assist in procurement activities. *Phase 3 – Account Management & Proactive Sales* - Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads. - Conduct negotiations, close contracts, and expand the customer base. - Cultivate “Level 5” partnership relationships with key accounts. *Phase 4 – Leadership & Operations* - Lead a team, set strategic vision, and mentor staff. - Coach and develop team members; oversee operational performance. - Participate in budgeting, planning, and profit‑center management. **Required Skills** - Strong leadership and people‑development abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication; relationship‑building. - Customer‑service orientation with problem‑solving focus. - High organizational and time‑management capability. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Ability to read technical drawings/blueprints (advantageous). - Analytical mindset for inventory, pricing, and financial data. **Required Education & Certifications** - University degree or college diploma in any discipline. - No specific certifications required; willingness to pursue internal training.
