Job Description: **Job Title:** Educational and Social Support Assistant (AES/AVS) **Role Summary:** Provide in‑home support to elderly individuals and/or persons with disabilities, fostering autonomy, social inclusion, and well‑being while assisting families with daily living tasks. **Expectations:** - Full‑time permanent contract (CDD) with Monday‑Friday schedule; weekend and public holiday rotation with premium pay. - Must hold a valid driver’s license (Category B) and have access to a personal vehicle (kilometre allowance provided). - Ability to work under supervision during a tutoring‑type onboarding period. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform household upkeep, including cleaning and laundry. - Accompany clients to social activities, appointments, shopping, and outings. - Support personal care tasks: bathing, dressing, meal assistance, and mobility. - Promote client independence and maintain social connections. - Provide occasional support to families as needed. **Required Skills:** - Strong listening, discretion, and empathetic communication. - Autonomy, organizational ability, and adaptability to varied client needs. - Basic caregiving techniques and safe handling of personal care equipment. - Reliable driving and punctuality. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Diploma or proven experience in personal assistance or caregiving (e.g., ADVF, DEAES). - Beginner‑level candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
