Job Description
**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring solutions for cloud-based services, primarily on AWS. Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑quality software deployments while ensuring production reliability and continuous improvement. **Expectations:** * Deliver fully automated build, test, and deployment pipelines. * Maintain high system availability and performance through proactive monitoring and observability. * Stay current with emerging cloud and DevOps technologies, applying best practices organization‑wide. * Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning. **Key Responsibilities:** * Build and manage CI/CD workflows using tools such as Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions, or similar. * Provision and configure AWS infrastructure (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch) with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). * Create and maintain containerized applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes or ECS. * Implement scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and integration tasks. * Set up and refine monitoring/alerting solutions; conduct root‑cause analysis for production incidents. * Manage source code repositories, maintain merge strategies, and enforce version control best practices. * Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate requirements into CI/CD and infrastructure solutions. * Participate in code reviews, write documentation, and deliver training on DevOps practices. **Required Skills:** * Proficiency in AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM). * Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS). * Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. * Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). * Familiarity with IaC and configuration management (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet). * Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and cloud security fundamentals. * Ability to troubleshoot production issues and conduct root‑cause analysis. **Required Education & Certifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. * 2+ years of DevOps/SRE/Cloud/IT Operations or Systems Administration experience. * 1+ year of hands‑on cloud service support (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP acceptable). * AWS or Azure certification (Developer, Solutions Architect, Networking, or Infrastructure) strongly preferred.
