Job Description
**Job Title:** Software Validation Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, execute, and document validation tests for electric vehicle software systems, ensuring compliance with functional safety and cybersecurity standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver production‑ready embedded software for on‑board and off‑board platforms. **Expectations:** • 37‑hour work week (Mon‑Thu 08:00‑16:30, Fri 08:00‑13:00). • Willingness to travel for vehicle commissioning and off‑site testing. • Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze functional and technical requirements to create comprehensive test plans and cases. - Execute validation tests on PC, hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL), and vehicle test benches. - Document test results, identify defects, and track resolution with engineering teams. - Recommend software improvements and support vehicle commissioning activities. - Participate in cross‑functional reviews and contribute to production‑readiness assessments. **Required Skills:** - Validation of automotive and control‑system software. - Model‑based programming proficiency. - Familiarity with CAN, LIN, or similar automotive communication protocols. - Strong grasp of the V‑model and requirements capture processes. - Embedded software debugging and calibration tool experience. - Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety and ISO 21434 cybersecurity frameworks (preferred). - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. - Willingness to travel and support off‑site activities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - ISO 26262 functional safety certification or demonstrated knowledge is a plus.
