**Job Title**
Junior MuleSoft Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and maintain MuleSoft integration solutions and APIs as part of a platform team. Collaborate with stakeholders to transform business requirements into scalable, reusable software, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability across DevOps pipelines.
**Expectations**
- 3+ years of technical engineering experience
- Proven coding history in C, C++, C#, or Java
- Hands‑on experience with API development and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Strong testing discipline (unit, integration, performance/stress)
- Database design and management knowledge
- Experience in Agile or Lean frameworks
- Ability to produce clear technical specifications and documentation
- Effective communication with teams and end users
- On‑site presence three days per week (in‑person work requirement)
- W2 contract transitioning to permanent hire
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical design documents.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain MuleSoft APIs, integration flows, and supporting microservices.
- Lead the design of API tooling, frameworks, and best‑practice guidelines.
- Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior teammates.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing integrations, optimizing performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, QA, ops) throughout the SDLC.
**Required Skills**
- Programming: C, C++, C#, Java, and MuleSoft (Anypoint Studio, Exchange, Design Center).
- API lifecycle management: design, security, versioning, publishing.
- Testing: unit, integration, performance, stress testing tools.
- Database: SQL, NoSQL, ETL concepts.
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, source control, containerization.
- Agile/Lite, Scrum or Kanban experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- No mandatory certifications, though MuleSoft certifications (e.g., Certified Developer – Level 1) are preferred.
