**Job title:** Commercial Financial Analyst
**Role Summary:**
Provide analytical support to the Commercial Finance team by designing, modeling, and maintaining financial data sets and predictive models. Deliver quantitative insights on pricing, volume, cost, margin, and variance drivers to inform tactical and strategic decisions across pricing, quoting, inflation recovery, and market segmentation.
**Expectations:**
- Apply advanced Excel modeling skills (≥5 years experience) to create robust, dynamic financial models.
- Present, validate, and explain complex financial analyses to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with VP Commercial Finance and cross‑functional partners (finance, operations, business development) to refine models and align with evolving business needs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Design, develop, and maintain Excel and other modeling tools to forecast performance, assess risks, and identify improvement opportunities.
2. Triangulate data with external financial sources, ensure accuracy, and review outputs before presentation.
3. Work closely with the VP Commercial Finance to understand model logic, functionality, and business requirements.
4. Continuously improve and adapt models to reflect changing commercial and operational conditions.
5. Manage and maintain commercial data sets in the BI system (e.g., global customers, global parts).
6. Coordinate with finance, operations, and business development stakeholders to support pricing, quoting, inflation recovery, and segmentation initiatives.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, PivotTables, VBA, data modeling).
- Strong quantitative and analytical ability, with a solid understanding of commercial finance elements (price variance, volume drivers, cost, margin).
- Clear communication skills; ability to translate technical findings into business‑friendly insights.
- Problem‑solving mindset; experience refining models based on stakeholder feedback.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience using Excel for financial modeling.
**Preferred but not required:**
- Supply chain or manufacturing/operational finance experience.
