Job title: Data Analytics Engineer
Role Summary:
Develop, model, and optimize analytical data pipelines and dashboards to drive product and business decisions. Own end‑to‑end responsibilities from data ingestion, transformation, governance, to insights delivery, collaborating closely with product, marketing, operations, and finance teams.
Expectations:
- Deliver reliable, documented datasets and key metrics on schedule.
- Provide clear, actionable insights that influence product strategy and operational improvement.
- Maintain high data quality, governance, and scalability of the analytics stack.
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Model & transform data in BigQuery using dbt to produce production‑ready tables and metrics.
2. Ensure data quality, documentation, and governance across all datasets.
3. Build and maintain interactive dashboards (Superset, Looker Studio) for autonomous performance monitoring.
4. Conduct quantitative analysis with product team: user behavior, funnel, cohort, retention, etc.
5. Design, launch, and interpret A/B tests and tracking instrumentation.
6. Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance to support strategic decisions with data.
7. Identify product improvement opportunities from data and recommend actionable actions.
8. Define and validate key performance indicators (KPIs) for product and business success.
9. Maintain and evolve ingestion pipelines (Airbyte, APIs, databases).
10. Automate, monitor, and optimize data workflows using Prefect and Kubernetes.
11. Contribute to stack scalability, cost management, and performance.
Required Skills:
- Advanced SQL and dbt expertise.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
- Strong analytical mindset and product orientation.
- Proficiency in A/B testing, product tracking, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with data ingestion and orchestration tools (Airbyte, Prefect, Airflow).
- Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code (Kubernetes, Terraform) and cloud environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
