**Job Title**
IT Data Architect
**Role Summary**
Design, implement and govern a unified data and analytics architecture for Daikin Europe. Lead initiatives spanning Azure, Databricks Lakehouse, Power BI, and emerging GenAI solutions to provide end‑to‑end data insights, governance, and monetization across manufacturing, logistics, finance, sales, and more.
**Expectations**
- Deliver architecture that integrates structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources.
- Drive and coordinate analytics projects, ensuring adherence to project methodology and quality standards.
- Shape data strategy, roadmap, and governance, including a future‑proof GenAI architecture.
- Act as a liaison between business units and IT, presenting solutions and facilitating adoption.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Analyse business requirements with IT and key users for management reporting and data insights.
2. Draft and propose solutions on the central Microsoft Azure/Databricks & Power BI platform or suitable niche technologies.
3. Maintain a comprehensive view of data assets, identifying opportunities for business value and monetization.
4. Design and evolve the data architecture to merge disparate platforms into a cohesive lakehouse environment.
5. Evaluate and implement big‑data, AI, and ML capabilities; run proof‑of‑concepts to validate business value.
6. Lead analytics projects, coordinating internal staff and external consultants through all phases.
7. Collaborate with the Business Analytics team on standardizing pan‑European reports and analytics solutions.
8. Co‑author the Generative AI roadmap for Daikin Europe, gathering requirements and detailing future architecture.
9. Present findings, proposals, and strategic plans to stakeholders and senior management.
10. Work in partnership with the Enterprise Architecture team to align data strategy with broader IT vision.
**Required Skills**
- Expertise in Azure, Databricks Lakehouse, Power BI, and data lake/warehousing concepts.
- Proven experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data governance.
- Strong analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of big‑data technologies, AI/ML, and GenAI frameworks.
- Project management skills with the ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in data analytics, data architecture, or business intelligence roles.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Architect, Power BI) are advantageous.
