Job Description
**Job Title:** AWS Cloud Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, build, and manage scalable, high‑performance AWS infrastructure; automate deployments; troubleshoot complex issues; optimize cost and ensure reliability and security in a fast‑paced, 5‑month contract project. **Expectations:** - Deliver robust AWS solutions aligned with project timelines. - Automate infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines. - Proactively identify and resolve performance, reliability, and security concerns. - Continuously monitor and reduce AWS spend. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect and implement AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc.) for scalability and performance. - Create and maintain infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform. - Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and serverless deployment processes. - Perform root‑cause analysis and resolve production issues. - Implement cloud security best practices and automated compliance checks. - Monitor, analyze, and optimize cost and usage metrics. **Required Skills:** - 2–4 years of hands‑on experience as an AWS Engineer or equivalent role. - Strong knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch). - Proficiency with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: CloudFormation and/or Terraform. - Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CodePipeline) and DevOps workflows. - Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. - Scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell). - Ability to troubleshoot complex, distributed systems. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (preferred).
