Job Description

**Job Title:** Intern IT I – Cybersecurity SOC **Role Summary:** A one‑year, hybrid/remote internship supporting the Cybersecurity Operations Center. The intern assists in analyzing, documenting, and standardizing security requirements across the organization’s infrastructure while gaining hands‑on experience with security tools and IT processes. **Expectations:** - Self‑motivated, organized, and detail‑oriented. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, technically complex environment and as part of a cross‑functional team. - Commitment to delivering quality work during scheduled hours (M‑F, 10 am‑6 pm MST). **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze and document cybersecurity technical requirements to promote consistent security controls. - Support access provisioning, system monitoring, and data analysis activities. - Participate in team projects, research assignments, and prepare related reports. - Provide service and support to internal and external customers. - Assist with the use and configuration of security platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Azure, Splunk, Zscaler, Proofpoint). **Required Skills:** - Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, terminology, and best practices. - Familiarity with ServiceNow, Azure, Microsoft Office, PowerShell, Proofpoint, Splunk, and Zscaler (or willingness to learn). - Proficiency with standard office software and personal computers. - Analytical and research abilities; ability to produce clear documentation. - Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in an accredited college program related to Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, **or** recently completed an accredited certificate program. - 0‑2 years of relevant work experience, coursework, or general IT knowledge. - No specific certifications required; relevant coursework or certificates are a plus.
