Job Description
**Job Title** Business Unit Director (Energy Distribution) **Role Summary** Lead the operational, commercial, and strategic management of an energy distribution business unit that supplies petrole-based fuels, lubricants, industrial soaps, biomass, and specialized products to corporate and retail customers. Drive profitable growth, sustainable innovation, and cross‑functional alignment with corporate objectives. **Expectations** - Achieve annual revenue targets (≈€24 M FY24) and profit margins. - Deliver on strategic growth initiatives in petroleum and renewable energy markets. - Maintain high service quality and operational excellence. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and execute commercial strategies, identify expansion opportunities in petroleum and renewable energy markets, and negotiate strategic partnerships. - Design, launch, and manage innovative, sustainable energy product offerings aligned with market demand and transition goals. - Oversight of unit profit and loss, budgeting, cost optimisation, and financial reporting to senior leadership. - Build, motivate, and coach a cross‑functional team; conduct regular performance reviews and talent development. - Own end‑to‑end project management from conception through implementation and evaluation, driving entrepreneurial initiatives. - Maintain industry knowledge of the energy sector (petroleum, hydrogen, photovoltaics, etc.) and translate trends into actionable solutions. **Required Skills** - Strategic thinking and commercial acumen with proven sales growth in energy or related sectors. - Strong financial management: budgeting, P&L oversight, cost control, and margin optimisation. - Leadership and team‑building; ability to inspire collaboration across functions. - Project management expertise with a track record of delivering large‑scale initiatives. - Negotiation, stakeholder management, and partnership development. - Innovative mindset; experience in developing disruptive solutions within energy markets. **Required Education & Certifications** - Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Energy Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields. - Specialisation or coursework in energy transition, renewable technologies, or entrepreneurship strongly preferred. - Minimum 5 years in senior roles managing operational budgets and commercial development in the energy distribution sector.
