Job Description
**Job Title:** Healthcare Security Manager **Role Summary:** Lead and execute comprehensive security strategies to protect hospital personnel, patients, visitors, assets, and digital systems. Oversee physical security operations, coordinate security staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and continuously improve risk mitigation tactics. **Expectations:** Demonstrate strong leadership in a full‑time, on‑site setting; maintain a secure environment by implementing and refining policies, processes, and incident response plans. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary stakeholders to address evolving security risks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, implement, and sustain physical security operations and protocols. - Recruit, train, and manage security personnel; schedule shifts and conduct performance reviews. - Maintain regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, local safety standards) and monitor adherence. - Design and update emergency response plans; lead drills and incident simulations. - Conduct risk assessments, analyze incidents, and recommend corrective actions. - Protect information systems through cybersecurity measures, network security, and data integrity controls. - Collaborate with clinical, IT, facilities, and executive teams to integrate security into organizational workflows. - Liaise with external vendors, law enforcement, and emergency services as necessary. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in physical security, security management, and emergency response planning. - Knowledge of information security, cybersecurity, and network security principles. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities. - Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal effectiveness. - Ability to develop and enforce comprehensive security protocols and policies. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards; experience in healthcare or related industries is a plus.
