Job Description

Job title: Security Engineer Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain security controls for enterprise cloud and on‑prem environments. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enforce policies, monitor threats, and ensure compliance across Palo Alto, AWS, Cisco Umbrella, OCI, and local networks. Expectations: - Deliver secure architecture solutions on a continuous basis. - Perform threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and policy enforcement. - Actively respond to security incidents and provide post‑incident analysis. - Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and evidence for audits. Key Responsibilities: - Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Umbrella, and OCI security groups. - Build and maintain AWS security controls, including IAM, VPC security, and WAF rules. - Design and enforce on‑prem network segmentation and firewall policies. - Develop and apply API‑tracking mechanisms to detect anomalous traffic. - Create, test, and refine security policies, rules, and exception processes. - Conduct regular penetration tests, vulnerability scans, and configuration reviews. - Provide guidance to developers on secure coding practices and threat mitigation. - Document security architecture, incident reports, and compliance evidence. Required Skills: - Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PAN‑OS, NGFW). - Proficient with AWS security services (IAM, KMS, VPC, WAF, GuardDuty). - Knowledge of Cisco Umbrella and OCI security features. - Strong understanding of local (LAN/WAN) and on‑prem network security. - Experience with web application firewalls and API security. - Ability to craft and test security policies, rules, and exceptions. - Familiarity with incident response, threat hunting, and forensic analysis. - Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. - Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP Security, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Palo Alto PAN‑OS Security Certified, or equivalent.
