**Job Title:**
VP of Technology and Engineering – SaaS Platform & Engineering Operations
**Role Summary:**
Senior technology leader responsible for the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of a cloud‑based hospitality SaaS platform. Drives engineering excellence, DevOps, QA, and IT operations while aligning technology strategy with product vision and business goals.
**Expectations:**
- Lead modernization of the cloud platform to enhance scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Ensure high‑quality, timely releases and operational stability.
- Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and distributed teams.
- Define and monitor engineering KPIs (release velocity, uptime, predictability).
- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and data‑driven decision making.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee software development, QA, DevOps, and IT operations across the organization.
- Partner with product management and executive leadership to shape roadmap and prioritize initiatives.
- Establish engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor senior engineering leaders and high‑performing teams.
- Identify and implement AI, automation, and emerging technologies to add product value.
- Manage technology spend, resource allocation, and outsourcing contracts.
- Report on engineering performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years progressive technology leadership in SaaS or enterprise software.
- Proven track record modernizing cloud platforms with focus on scalability and reliability.
- Deep expertise in software engineering, full‑stack development, DevOps, QA, and infrastructure operations.
- Strong budget and vendor management experience.
- Ability to align engineering output with product and business objectives.
- Data‑driven mindset; experience defining and managing engineering KPIs.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
- Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to work in a decentralized, remote environment.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (minimum).
