**Job Title:** Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Full‑time, on‑site software engineer responsible for building and maintaining a modern, type‑safe product suite comprising a React Native mobile app, a Kotlin backend, and a React web application. Works collaboratively with cross‑functional product and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality, human‑reviewed code while embracing both frontend and backend development and staying abreast of AI‑related technologies. **Expectations:** - Operate effectively in a collaborative, in‑office environment. - Exhibit empathy for end users and translate insights into product features. - Balance technical trade‑offs and propose creative, efficient solutions. - Communicate clearly with peers and cross‑functional partners. - Adopt the team’s defensive, functional, and efficient coding patterns. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and enhance features across React (web), React Native (mobile), and Kotlin (backend) stacks. - Design, implement, and maintain APIs and database interactions. - Write clean, type‑safe code and participate in thorough code reviews. - Contribute to architecture decisions and maintain functional, scalable services. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver lovable, user‑centric experiences. **Required Skills:** - 2+ years professional coding experience. - Proficiency or strong willingness to learn Kotlin, React, React Native, and TypeScript. - Experience with Next.js (web) and Expo (mobile) frameworks. - Solid understanding of backend development, API design, and relational/NoSQL databases. - Ability to work in a fast‑paced, startup‑style environment and adapt to blurred role boundaries. - Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience acceptable. - No specific certifications required.
