Job Description
**Job Title** HR Advisor **Role Summary** HR Advisor will serve as a generalist within the shared services team, concentrating on employee relations, engagement and projects. The role provides expert guidance to line managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance, flexible working, redundancies, TUPE, health & wellbeing, absence, and mediation. It also supports recruitment, onboarding, policy updates, training delivery, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. **Expectations** - Deliver proactive, compliant HR advice to managers across all departments. - Manage end‑to‑end employee relation cases and recruitment processes efficiently. - Provide phone‑based coaching and support with an excellent professional manner. - Produce regular analytical reports and recommend service enhancements. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Advise and coach line managers on employee relations matters (disciplinary action, grievances, performance, redundancies, TUPE, flexible working, absence, health & wellbeing). 2. Own case management, ensuring smooth resolution and timely reporting. 3. Support recruitment volume for customer operations, from job posting to offer and onboarding. 4. Deliver training workshops for managers on people management skills. 5. Analyse ER and recruitment metrics, creating monthly reports and insights for continuous improvement. 6. Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders across the business to promote consistent employee relations. 7. Update people policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and best practice. 8. Participate in HR projects, proposing enhancements to shared services routines. 9. Provide advisory support for health & occupational referrals and mediation. 10. Travel to head office once a month (or as required). **Required Skills** - Proven experience managing employee relations cases and advising managers. - Strong telephone communication and customer service orientation. - Advisory expertise within a busy HR environment. - Ability to influence and collaborate with all business levels. - Analytical mindset with experience producing quantitative ER/recruitment reports. - Continuous learning mindset to stay current in HR legislation and best practice. - Flexibility to travel and support cross‑regional initiatives. **Required Education & Certifications** - CIPD Level 5 qualification preferred (or equivalent HR experience). - Experience in an HR shared services function and people‑management training is desirable.
