Job Description
Job Title: Fire & Security Engineer Role Summary: Responsible for installing, commissioning, and testing Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Fire Detection systems on commercial and residential sites, ensuring compliance with NSI and BAFE standards. Expectations: Deliver high‑quality installations independently, manage full project timelines, provide excellent customer service, travel across London and the South‑East, and maintain a professional, safety‑first approach. Key Responsibilities: • Install and commission Intruder Alarm systems (primary focus) • Install CCTV (IP and analogue), Access Control, and Fire Detection systems (secondary focus) • Manage end‑to‑end installation process from wiring to testing and handover • Maintain installation standards per NSI codes of practice • Deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication throughout projects • Travel to sites and work independently on small, short‑duration projects. Required Skills: • Proven experience installing Intruder Alarm systems • Experience with IP and analogue CCTV and Access Control/door‑entry systems • Basic networking knowledge (IP configuration, remote access) • Familiarity with DualCom monitoring and modern communication devices • Understanding of NSI installation, commissioning, and maintenance standards • Full, manual UK driving licence • Strong communication, time‑management, and self‑motivation skills • Willingness to travel and work independently. Required Education & Certifications: None specified (knowledge of NSI standards required; full manual UK driving licence mandatory).
