DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Architect and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for national security projects using AWS, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices. Expectations: Requires UK*C or Enhanced DV security clearance (sole British nationals only); hands-on engineering and leadership in high-assurance environments. Key Responsibilities: - Design secure AWS multi-account environments and cloud-native platforms - Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and DevSecOps workflows - Orchestrate containers (Kubernetes, Docker) and manage real-time data pipelines (AWS MSK/Kafka) - Enforce security best practices for IAM, monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), and threat mitigation - Automate cloud infrastructure and operational processes for mission-critical systems Required Skills: - Expertise in AWS (secure environments, MSK/Kafka), Kubernetes, Docker, Helm - Terraform, CI/CD (Drone/GitLab), and security tools (Vault, WAF, Shield) - Monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) - Agile/DevSecOps methodologies - Deep understanding of secure stream processing and infrastructure automation Required Education & Certifications: - UK*C or Enhanced DV clearance (eDV) mandatory (sole British nationality required)
