Job Description

**Job title** Software Engineer (Product) **Role Summary** Design, develop, test, and deploy high‑performance backend features for a cloud‑native data orchestration platform. Focus on scaling core services while maintaining ownership of end‑to‑end systems. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including product, design, and customers, to deliver reliable, secure, and user‑centric solutions. **Expectations** - Minimum 5 years of commercial software engineering experience building and shipping full‑stack products. - Proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and strong grasp of scalable backend architecture and system design. - Comfortable working in cloud environments (AWS) and able to manage infrastructure as code (Terraform). - Demonstrated ability to ship quickly while balancing experimentation; resourcesw and opinionated. - Willingness to learn and contribute to front‑end development using React and TypeScript. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and database technologies. **Key Responsibilities** - Own end‑to‑end product components: design, develop, test, and deploy. - Implement new features and enhance existing ones across the full stack, prioritizing backend services. - Collaborate with customers to gather requirements, validate solutions, and iterate based on feedback. - Lead the development lifecycle from architecture to production release, ensuring quality and operational resilience. - Contribute to the team’s culture, strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives. **Required Skills** - Strong programming in Python (FastAPI framework). - Solid understanding of scalable system design and backend best practices. - Experience with AWS services, serverless architecture, and Terraform. - Proficiency with Docker, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and related data stores. - Familiarity with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing. - Comfortable with CI/CD, code quality tools (e.g., Blacksmith runners). - Front‑end foundation: React + TypeScript (or rapid mastery). - Cloud‑centric mindset and hands‑on operational knowledge. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Professional certifications (AWS, Python, etc.) are a plus but not mandatory.
